Space War Arena Gets New 1-Versus-1 Online Multiplayer Update

A new online multiplayer mode is now available in Space War Arena. The new mode allows players to battle in 1-versus-1 matches. This mode includes an endless war leaderboard where players can see how they rank. The game is also currently discounted on the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop online store, so you might want to get the game while the offer lasts as this is only available for a limited time.


Splatoon Crosses Over to Tetris 99

Tetris 99 is getting a special Splatoon 2 crossover this month! The crossover event, called the Maximus Cup starts July 12th and will end July 15th, and players will be able to earn points as they play in Splatoon-themed visuals. Those who are able to earn 100 Points will unlock a special Splatoon 2 theme for Tetris 99. The Maximus Cup event is also a part of the celebration of the final Splatoon 2 Splatfest.


Kill La Kill: If Demo Now Available on PS4

The demo for Kill La Kill: If is now available on the PlayStation 4. The demo will take players through the game’s introductory chapter in story mode. The game’s local versus mode is also accessible with a limited set of characters available for players. The demo is only available for PlayStation 4, but the game will also be launching for PC and Nintendo Switch with a release date of July 26th.


Black Ops 4’s New Zombie Operation Live Now

Zombies are coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4! Operation: Apocalypse Z will be coming first on the PlayStation 4 starting July 9th, while PC and Xbox One players will be able to play it starting July 16th. Apocalypse Z will be introducing new maps plus game modes that will feature zombie content. The classic Zombies story “Alpha Omega” will have a continuation. Apocalypse Z will also bring new weapons, and the Blackout battle royale mode will also get a zombie theme.


Tetris 99’s Offline Multiplayer Hinted at Listing

It looks like Tetris 99 is really getting an offline multiplayer mode. Nintendo’s Australian website shows a listing for a new offline expansion for Tetris 99 called DLC 2. The description reads, “In the second DLC, we plan to add a new mode that lets you play offline with your family and friends.” A placeholder release date of December 31, 2019 is also shown, and the listing also says it is not a standalone product and will require the base game in order to play.


Rising Storm 2: Vietnam’s Green Army Men Mod Becomes Official

Rising Storm 2 : Vietnam’s fun new mode is here! The Green Army Men mode, which is free for anyone who owns the base game, brings green army men into the game as they fight in battlefields made in backyards. The new mode features four maps, with one having a Christmas theme and was actually from last year’s Army Men event. The free version unlocks the Rifle class, while the paid version will unlock other classes plus will support the modders.


Fortnite Devs Fix Rubber Duck Challenge to Make It Easier

Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event includes a challenge where players will have to find a rubber duck in a corner of Fortnite’s map. Apparently, players find this challenge difficult as only one person can get the duck. Epic Games was quick to respond to players’ feedback and said through a Tweet that they’re “working towards a fix in a couple days.” The developer has not mentioned how they will be fixing the challenge.


League of Legends is Most Viewed Game on Twitch in 2019

League of Legends has been named as the most-viewed game on Twitch for the first half of 2019. This is according to data gathered and published by The Esports Observer. The game has 512.3 million hours of viewership on Twitch from January 1, 2019 until June 30, 2019. In the same time period, Fortnite gathered only 465 million hours of viewership. GTA 5 is in fourth place with 269.1 million. Dota 2 makes it in the top five with 237.1 million.


One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Gets Four Other Characters

Four villains are coming to One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. The villains are Carnage Kabuto, Vaccine Man, Deep Sea King, and Mosquito Girl, and are all based on the manga/anime series. All four will also be joining the game’s roster at launch. The release date for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is still unknown at this time, but the game will be launching for PC, Xbox One, and Ps4.


Borderlands 3 Features a Ping System

Gearbox Software has revealed that Borderlands 3 will include a ping system in the style of Apex Legends. This ping system will allow players to point out enemies, items, friends, and more. This feature will enable co-op teammates to better communicate with each other as it functions even when voice chat is unavailable. In addition to this, Gearbox said they will be bringing a “full suite of accessibility options” which will allow players to enjoy Borderlands 3.


Super Mario Maker 2 Tops UK Sales for Second Week

Super Mario Maker 2 has dominated the UK Sales Charts for the second consecutive week! The game has dethroned Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled which is also still pulling in numerous sales numbers and sits on second place. Also included in the top-selling list are F1 2019 at third place, followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on fourth, and finally Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on fifth place. Still a best-seller is GTA 5 which sits on 6th place.


Turok Remake is a Cute 2D Game

The dinosaur hunting game called Turok that launched in 1997 for the N64 is making a comeback but as a cute 2D shooter called Turok Escape from the Lost Valley. The game offers light platforming which allows you to shoot at cute T-Rexes using a bow and an arrow. This came about because of the Universal Gamedev Challenge. The challenge was for indie teams to make games out of the properties that the movie-making rights holder owns. All the games coming from this challenge will launch on July 25.


New DLC Character for Mortal Kombat 11 is Sindel

Mortal Kombat 11 is getting a new DLC character and it is the queen of the Outworld Sindel. NetherRealms made a teaser tweet for her with an image as well as a tagline saying “7 deadly Sindels” which is, of course, a reference to the 7 Deadly Sins. No other information was given, not even a release date for the upcoming character. Mortal Kombat Pack will have six DLC fighters all in all. So far, the characters known are Shang Tsung, Spawn, Nightwolf, and Sindel. The other two are yet to be announced.


New Pokemon Sword and Shield Update Revealed

A new update for the Pokemon Sword and Shield has revealed a new Pokemon, new exclusive Gym Leaders as well as the Gigantamaxing. The new Pokemon that had been revealed is the Fairy Cream Pokemon and she looks like a whipped cream dessert with little strawberries on top. Also, version exclusive Pokemon has been introduced as well. The Gigantamaxing on the other hand, lets a select number of Pokemon to grow bigger as compared to Dynamaxing where Pokemon can change their appearance and use G-Max Moves.

The game will still focus on its Career Mode as it is one of its strengths. There will be 38 tracks to race on as well as over 150 different official teams to drive as. A Gold Edition is available for the game where you are able to race the legendary Jeff Gordon car. NASCAR Heat 4 will be launching on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.


Saiyan Saga Scenes Revealed In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Screenshots

Bandai Namco was able to share some new screenshots for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Saiyan Saga. The images may have been taken from players of the boss battles in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The game will be the first ever single-player focused RPG in some time for the series. Players are also able to explore new stories that have never been seen in the anime or manga according to series creator Akira Toriyama. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2020.


Persona 5 Royal New Trailer Features Yusuke

A new Persona 5 Royal trailer has been shared by Altus and it features Yusuke Kitagawa. New scenes were made available and it featured Yusuke with other party members. An interesting thing to note is that Yusuke is interacting with Ann in the absence of the main protagonist. Persona 5 Royal is a follow up to Persona 5 that launched in 2017. The game will still have the same storyline but with more content like cutscenes, characters and dungeons. Persona 5 Royal will launch in 2020 in the West.


New Gameplay Trailer Shared for FIA European Truck Racing Championship

The FIA European Truck Racing Championship by Bigben and N-Racing will be launching on July 18th and a new gameplay trailer has been launched for it. The game had been developed with the KT Engine pushing the limits of what is possible in the game. There will be dynamic weather, different physics for each vehicle, manual management for breaks as well as water cooling. Players are able to drive 45 official trucks from manufacturers like Volvo, Freightliner, MAN, Western Star and more.


New Anno 1800 Patch 3.2 Now Available
