Sea of Thieves Gets Patch Fixing Cannon Glitch

A very annoying bug that exists in Sea of thieves that caused players to be launched in unintended directions from cannons, and sometimes made the muffled cannon audio persist beyond its normal duration, has been fixed. Players have been going crazy over the bug for a short while now, including Youtuber FuriousViking who posted footage of the bug in action. Sea of Thieves is currently in the middle of its Cursed Sails event, so Rare had to prioritize the bug and push a fix out quickly.


Cyber-Racer Distance Gets Out of Early Access This September

After almost 4 years since the game launched in Steam Early Access, anti-gravity racing game Distance will finally be making a full launch come September 18th. The game was Kickstarted back in 2012 and features tron-inspired aesthetics while playing as a survival racing game. To celebrate the announcement, developer Refract has also launched a new trailer that shows off the game world and a bit of cyber-racing gameplay to boot. The game’s price will be bumped up soon so get it before that happens.


Overwatch League Finals Reach Over 10 Million Viewers

The previous weekend’s Overwatch League Grand Finals was so popular that it was able to rake in ten point eight million viewers worldwide according to Blizzard. The Grand Finals ran for two days and was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It has also been available through MLG and Twitch and televised in the United States via the ESPN channels and the highlights were shown on ABC. Chinese channels also aired the match on ZhangQi TV, NetEase CC, and Panda TV. Korea aired it on MBC.


Sally Whitemaine is Joining Heroes of the Storm

High Inquisitor Sally Whitemane will be joining the roster of Heroes of the Storm soon. She’ll be an aggressive support character who restores health to allies while dealing damage to enemy heroes. Her abilities apply a buff called Zeal to her allies for 8 seconds. Those affected gain 1 health point for each point of damage Whitemane deals to heroes. Her heroic abilities either provide burst healing plus a buff in armor to allies, or damage over time to enemies i an area after a short charge period.


Shadow of the Tomb Raider Accessibility Options Introduced

Shadow of the Tomb Raider has added a bunch of accessibility features in the game which will launch by September. There will be three categories available which are buttons, audio, and difficulty. In buttons, the Y-axis can be inverted. Also, the camera can be “soft locked” for those who can only use one of the analog sticks. For audio, dialogue subtitles are color-coded, plus environmental subtitles are added. The difficulty level with ‘easy’ will be having more assist.

Treyarch to Discuss 2nd Black Ops 4 Beta Weekend in a Stream

Treyarch is set to host another stream which will showcase the second week of the Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta. The stream’s details are still unknown at this time, but Treyarch did reveal that they will be talking about the beta’s week one and week two. There may also be new details on the new map titled Hacienda that will be revealed during the stream. The stream goes live via Facebook, YoutTube and Twitch on Friday, August 10th, at 12:00 p.m. PDT (or 3:00 p.m. EDT).


Assassin’s Creed Odyssey May Not Get a Battle Royale Mode

With other big franchises jumping into the Battle Royale bandwagon, Assassin’s Creed is not one of them yet with their latest game Odyssey. The game’s director Scott Phillips was asked if meetings were being held for the game to have a battle royale mode, he simply said “no”. He even said that Odyssey won’t have a multiplayer at all. It will just be a full RPG that is focused on the player’s choice. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will officially launch on October 5th available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Blizzard Reveals Another Overwatch Summer Skin

Another Overwatch hero is getting a Legendary summer skin! The new hero to hop in on the summer games is Zenyatta, who’s sporting a baseball uniform. His Legendary skin is called FASTBALL ZENYATTA. Aside from his uniform, he is also armed with floating baseball balls. The Overwatch Summer Games is indeed fast approaching as more and more heroes have received summer-themed Legendary skins such as D.Va, Reinhardt, Ana, and Winston.


Valkyria Chronicles 4 PC System Requirements Announced

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is now vailable for pre-order and its Steam page has also confirmed the game’s minimim system requirements. Those meaning to play the anime strategy game will need at least Windows 7 64-bit, i3 6100 or AMD equivalent, 4 gigabytes of RAM, GeForce 650Ti 2GB,support for DirectX 9.0c, and 71 gigabytes of hard drive space. The recommended specs are yet to be confirmed though. Sega has also revealed that the game will support 4K and ultra-wide resolutions. The game is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.


Bless Online Gets Assassin Class and New PvP Modes

Fantasy MMORPG Bless Online, which is currently in Early Access, has received its largest content update to date. The update brings the highly anticipated Assassin class as well as major player-versus-player additions. The new content included in this update are: Siege of Castra, Dominion Contract, and Capital War. New packs were also included in the update in celebration of the addition of the Assassin class. These packs are The Celestial Executor Pack and the Legendary Executioner Pack which are available until September 7th.


Dragon Quest XI Lets You Swap to a Classic Costume

Square Enix has made a Dragon Quest 7 look available for Dragon Quest 11. From the launch of the game, the Trodain Bandana, as well as the Trodain Togs, will be available in your inventory and can be equipped to the Luminary character. And at the early stages, this will actually boost the defensive stats of your character. If by change you outgrow these digs, you can use the recipe book called Trodain’s Top Trends in the later stages of the game in order to have a more modern look to the costume.

Monster Hunter World PC Release Has Impressive Numbers

Monster Hunter World on PC is doing amazing within just hours of being released. No official numbers have been revealed by Capcom as of yet, but based on Steamcharts.com we get to see that the concurrent player count is around two hundred thirty-nine thousand so far. These numbers are really impressive and knowing Japanese games, this would increase even further. Monster Hunter World has been previously released for consoles – PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – and this is its first time on PC.


PUBG’s Latest Limited-Time Mode is Up Now

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has announced its latest limited-time mode, Dodgebomb. This mode is a variant of War Mode, and it requires players to dodge a seemingly unending barrage of explosives using their frying pans. Dodgebomb happens in the Erangel map, and 3 teams with 10 people each will drop, armed with 20 frag grenades, a molotov, level 3 gear, and as mentioned, a frying pan. Killed players respawn every 30 seconds through planes that fly by. The team to reach 100 points first, or has the most number of points when the timer ends, wins.


Total War Rome 2 Expansion Released

Total War: Rome 2 gets a new expansion called Rise of the Republic. This expansion is set during the conflicts of 399 BC across the map of Italy. There will be nine factions against each other and everyone wants Rome for themselves as well as the other surrounding territories. There is a new regional-specific dilemma system, plus a new intrigues system as well. It will also include an Ancestral update which introduces the full family tree system and some graphical makeovers are also included.


Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish Starts

Fortnite’s Summer Skirmishes are here and Epic is introducing a new tournament type called Kingpin. Here, the team with most points is the winner at the end of the eight matches. There will be one point for each elimination but if you have a Victory Royale, that would mean that eliminations will be worth three points in the next round. And earning more than seven eliminations will make each elimination double points in the next round. This new system makes it fair for players with different goals.


Hunt Showdown is Free to Play This Weekend

Another free weekend is upon us, and this time it’s Crytek’s PvPvE game Hunt: Showdown which is currently in Early Access. The game is free on Steam from now until Monday, August 13th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST. This free weekend runs along with the addition of South American servers to the game. The game is also available at a discounted price during the free weekend, so this is a good chance to get the full game at a lesser price.


Lara Croft Can Swim in Latest Shadow of the Tomb Raider Feature

Square Enix was able to share another video for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it features Lara in different situations that involve water. Sure, we could see Lara swimming in previous Tomb Raider games but not as intense as what is in store for players who will be playing the Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In the video, we could see stealth attacks coming from underwater, fighting off an underwater creature, swimming near lava bursting out of the ground, and of course, Lara gasping for air.


Battlefield 5 Closed Alpha Returns

EA DICE has announced a second closed alpha run for Battlefield 5 which will run for a limited time. The second closed alpha will begin August 14th, and will have the same maps, weapons, modes, and vehicles as the first run. DICE added that the purpose of this run is player progression speed. Players will also get to see improvements on matchmaking and issues related to joining squads have been fixed. The Closed Alpha is only available to those who have been invited to join.


Cuphead Has Sold Three Million Copies!

Since the game’s release last year, Cuphead was able to sell three million copies. This has been announced by the developers Studio MDHR. The 2D platformer has a unique art style which was loved by players but not many were fans of its boss rush structure, having to spend more time on additional content. When the game first released it easily reached one million just within weeks. A new DLC is said to be available for the game by 2019, it will introduce a new playable character and new bosses.


Child of Light 2 Appears to Be Teased By Ubisoft

Looks like Ubisoft “accidentally” leaked what looks like the sequel to their 2014 hand-drawn RPG, Child of Light. In a tweet, Ubisoft Montreal’s Patrick Plourde said he wanted to apologize for being silent for a long time. His tweet comes with a photo of Child of Light on Switch, and in the background is a sheet of paper that shows a portion of text that says “OF LIGHT II.” This, however, does not mean a sequel is indeed in the works. Ubisoft has not made any comments on this yet.


Torchlight Frontiers Releasing Next Year

After six years, the Torchlight series is making a comeback with Torchlight Frontiers and is said to launch in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is from the new studio called Echtra Games who is led by Max Schaefer the co-founder of Runic Games and Blizzard North. For the newest sequel, they called on the veterans of both the franchises of Diablo and Torchlight. The game focuses on teaming up with your friends and going through dungeons together, hacking and slashing.


Ni No Kuni 2 Free Adventure Pack DLC Has Launched

A new trailer has been released by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the Ni No Kuni 2’s free DLC. The brand new trailer shows off the stuff found in the DLC. The expansion is an Adventure Pack that includes more floors for the Faraway Forest Cave, two new bosses namely Blackhart and Zeta, new costumes as well as new quests once you finish the main story of the game. All these and more are available with the pack. Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is already available worldwide and can be played on PC and PS4.
