Age of Empires 4 – Download Free Beta Multiplayer Technical Stress Test

Age of Empires 4 has a technical stress test this weekend that everyone can download and play for free.

WHEN IS THE TECHNICAL STRESS TEST START DATE?

Ahead of its launch in October, and after a successful closed beta, AoE will have a technical stress test this coming weekend, and you can download and play it for free.

The test will push the RTS game’s servers to the limit by overloading it with as many players as possible.

You can download and play the test from Friday, September 17.

Technical Stress Test Start Times:

• 10 AM PDT
• 1 PM EDT
• 6 PM GMT
• 7 PM CDT

The test runs until Monday, September 20.

Technical Stress Test End Times:

• 10 AM PDT
• 1 PM EDT
• 6 PM GMT
• 7 PM CDT

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE AOE TECHNICAL STRESS TEST?

You can download the test from the Microsoft Store in the Xbox insider Hub app, or you can get it through Steam.

You do not need to be an Age of Empires Insider to download and play the test.

The only requirement is that you exceed the minimum system requirements.

• Operating system: Windows 10 64bit
• Processor: Intel Core i5-6300U or AMD Ryzen 5 2400G
• Memory: 8 GB RAM
• Graphics: Intel HD 520 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 11

IS THE TEST MULTIPLAYER?

Yes, Microsoft has asked everyone to focus on multiplayer to gather as much data as possible on the different match-ups.

You can, however, play against the AI if you wish to by using the multiplayer custom lobbies.

During the event, there are four civilizations available: the English, Chinese, Holy Roman Empire, and Abbasid Dynasty.

Age of Empires 4 releases on October 28, 2021, for PC and is available to play on Microsoft Windows and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
