Games Leaving Game Pass August 2026
Microsoft has updated the Leaving Soon section of Xbox Game Pass and August’s list is much shorter than what subscribers had to deal with last month. After 19 games left the service in July, only four titles are currently scheduled to be removed for the first half of August.
But while it’s fewer games on the way out, it’s a strong lineup of departures. Aliens Fireteam Elite and Firewatch are both excellent games and easily the biggest losses this month. And unfortunately for Aliens fans on Game Pass, Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 won’t be coming to the service when it launches on August 25, 2026.
Menace, a highly-rated early access game, is also leaving which is a bit disappointing as some exit this phase to a full release while on Game Pass. If there’s anything promising with this piece of update, maybe we’re closer to the full launch as some titles leave the service just before v1.0 comes out.
The official announcement is due tomorrow so more games can land on the list.
