From the creative mind of Thomas Brush, known for titles like Pinstripe and Neversong, comes a macabre blend of childhood nostalgia and sheer terror. Publisher 3D Realms is bringing this vision to life.

Twisted Tower is set within an abandoned 1950s amusement resort that has been devoid of guests for decades. Players are tasked with ascending the titular tower, battling through floors teeming with corrupted mascots and deadly puzzles.

According to what Thomas shared on Steam, the project has been a labor of love over the past five years. The goal is to reach the summit to win a massive cash prize and save your childhood sweetheart, Charlotte.


When is the Twisted Tower Release Date?

Twisted Tower will officially release on August 18, 2026. Developer Atmos Games and publisher 3D Realms confirmed this launch date alongside a brand-new gameplay trailer, marking the conclusion of a five-year development cycle.

Arriving just in time for the early Halloween season, the launch promises to deliver a polished experience. The development team is currently utilizing these final weeks to iron out the remaining bugs and optimize performance.


Toy-Inspired Arsenal and Movement

Survival in this derelict resort relies heavily on punchy, bloody gunplay utilizing a highly unconventional arsenal. You will not find standard military hardware here.

Instead, players collect and upgrade a slew of deadly, toy-inspired weapons. The arsenal includes a whack-a-mole mallet, a rubber band gun, a gumball machine gun, and a skull-popping ray gun.

Movement mechanics are equally chaotic. Players must gather bizarre toys that grant new abilities, allowing them to jump, dash, and climb across five distinct levels. Environments range from a clown casino and a water park to a forest fairground and a space station.

What Platforms Will Twisted Tower Launch On?

Twisted Tower is currently confirmed to launch exclusively on PC via Steam. While a previous demo is no longer available, players interested in trying the game early can now sign up for the official playtest directly through the Steam storefront.

At this time, neither Atmos Games nor 3D Realms have announced plans for console ports. The current focus remains entirely on delivering a stable and engaging PC release this August.
