Dragon’s Dogma 2 Delists Deluxe Edition and Microtransactions This Month

Capcom will remove the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and nearly all optional DLC items from digital storefronts on June 25, 2026.

Key Takeaways
  • Delisting and Content Removal: Capcom will remove the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and nearly all optional microtransactions (such as Rift Crystals, Wakestones, and Portcrystals) from sale on June 25, 2026.
  • Expansion Preparation: This sudden removal and ongoing backend adjustments are part of Capcom’s strategy to pave the way for the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion, launching on October 9.
  • Permanent Price Cut: Alongside these digital store changes, the standard digital version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 will receive a permanent price discount across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

With the upcoming expansion Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen arriving on October 9, Capcom is already laying the groundwork for the next chapter of the RPG. As the release draws closer, the publisher has been making several adjustments behind the scenes to prepare the game for it.

In addition to the two previously announced updates, Capcom has now revealed another significant change, the removal of nearly all of Dragon’s Dogma 2’s microtransactions and the delisting of the game’s Deluxe Edition.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Ends Sales of Deluxe Edition and DLCs

In a statement shared through Dragon’s Dogma’s official social media channels, Capcom announced that the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and several DLC items will be discontinued on June 25, 2026, at 12:00 AM UTC.

According to the company, the decision is being made “due to the development of additional content and various adjustments for the upcoming title update.”

After the delisting takes effect, only the standard edition of Dragon’s Dogma 2, the Explorer’s Camping Kit, and the Dragon’s Dogma Music & Sound Collection will remain available for purchase.

Most of the content being removed are optional time-saving items that players could previously buy separately. While these purchases will no longer be available to new buyers, existing owners will not lose access to anything they have already purchased.

The full list of items being removed from sale includes:

  • Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition
  • A Boon for Adventurers – New Journey Pack
  • Harpysnare Smoke Beacons
  • Heartfelt Pendant
  • Ambivalent Rift Incense
  • Makeshift Gaol Key
  • Art of Metamorphosis
  • Portcrystal
  • Wakestone
  • 500 Rift Crystals
  • 1,500 Rift Crystals
  • 2,500 Rift Crystals

Alongside the DLC changes, Capcom announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will receive a permanent discount across all platforms. This price reduction comes at a perfect time with Dark Arisen launching in a few months.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9.
