Updated May 29 – Escape the Backrooms shadow dropped on Xbox Game Pass alongside its console launch. The game is now available for Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass members.

Updated May 20 – Microsoft has announced the wave 2 list for the month, revealing 11 more games are set to enter the service by the end of May. Four of these are day-one launches. Beastro, which was initially planned to launch this month, has been moved to June, joining the other 2 which are confirmed for next month. RV There Yet? is another title scheduled this month but has not confirmed a release date yet, hence not part of the wave 2 announcement.
Updated May 16 – Alongside the announcement that Batman: Arkham Knight now supports Xbox Play Anywhere, Microsoft also confirmed that it has joined PC Game Pass. The game can now be played across all tiers of the service.
Updated May 5 – Microsoft has now announced the official wave 1 list which includes 13 games. That makes it a total of 15 titles for the first half of May, 7 of which are day-one launches. Weirdly enough, the announcement did not include Motorslice which joined the service today together with Final Fantasy 5.
Original publication – Xbox Game Pass hasn’t announced wave 1 of the May 2026 lineup yet but thanks to early confirmations, we already have a bunch of titles to look forward to. Much like April, May is looking packed with day-one launches already.
Xbox Game Pass May 2026 Joining Titles
Ahead of the official reveal, 10 titles are already set to join Xbox Game Pass this month. Of the 10, 9 are day-one launches including RV There Yet? which was initially released on PC and will now make its way to the Xbox ecosystem. This however has not received a final date in May.
Also part of the early lineup is Subnautica 2, the sequel to the award-winning game and has been pretty much a resident in the headlines following its high-profile dispute and lawsuit.
Another highly-anticipated entry is Forza Horizon 6. While it was only announced late last year during Xbox Tokyo Game Show, its launch has been widely talked about and hoped for, for years. It’s great to see this one materializing soon.
