Capcom has made the surprise decision to move a Monster Hunter Wilds update forward one month as the developer looks to address fans’ ongoing discontent with the lack of endgame content.

Originally scheduled for a late September release, the endgame expansion tied to Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3 will now launch on August 13. This change follows ongoing criticism from players regarding the lack of content and performance issues.
Capcom announced on X that the content will now come in the 1.021 update and will include new quest difficulty, rewards, and various improvements.
Why the Endgame Update Was Moved Up
Monster Hunter Wilds has been a massive success for Capcom, selling 10 million copies globally in its first month. However, since then, players have bemoaned the lack of endgame content, mission difficulty, poor performance, and glitchy graphics.
In response to ongoing negative reviews, with the game receiving “Overwhlemingly Negative” reviews in recent weeks on Steam, Capcom has moved its planned endgame expansion up a month to mid August as it tries to satisfy player concerns.
What’s Included in the Endgame Update?
Now launching as part of Ver.1.021 update, the new endgame update will add an extra level of quest difficulty, a new rewards system, weapon balance adjustments, and “other improvements,” which hopefully means performance fixes on PC.
Capcom has promised fans it will reveal more specific details about the update “in the near future,” with the update planned to launch on August 13.

How This Impacts the Community and Launch Window
Capcom hopes by moving the update forward it will take a large step forward in pleasing fans, while once again building a positive buzz for Monster Hunter Wilds after recent poor reviews.
September’s Title Update 3 will now only include a new monster while also addressing more bug fixes and gameplay enhancements.
Conclusion
Capcom is moving its much-needed Monster Hunter Wilds endgame update forward a month to August 13. Ver.1.201 will feature weapon balance adjustments, a new difficulty, and performance-related fixes. Do you think its enough to save the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments
