Drag x Drive Global Jam Free Trial Announced by Nintendo Ahead of Switch 2 Release
Nintendo has announced a free trial of the upcoming wheelchair basketball game Drag x Drive, with a “Global Jam” on August 9. The vehicular sports game will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 14, 2025.
Drag x Drive will hold a free trial, exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members, from August 9 to August 10.
The event will be split into three sections, each four hours in length, offering fans a final chance to try the game before it launches for the Switch 2 on August 14, 2025.
What Is Drag x Drive Global Jam?
The upcoming Global Jam is a two-day event offering a free demo and trial to Nintendo Switch Online members who own a Nintendo Switch 2.
Drag x Drive is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive title featuring multiplayer-focused wheelchair basketball in a sci-fi setting, and on the surface, it appears to resemble Pysonix’s Rocket League.

What’s Included in the Free Trial?
From August 9 to August 10, players can enter a basketball arena and compete in intense 3v3 matches. Nintendo has not yet disclosed the modes, customization options, or specific features that the upcoming demo event will include.
However, we do know that players will need to use the Joy-Con 2 controllers to move around the court and imitate a throwing action to throw the ball into the basket. This should provide plenty of entertainment and humor.

Saturday, August 9th
- 3:00 – 7:00 PT / 12:00 – 16:00 CEST
- 17:00 – 21:00 PT / 02:00 – 06:00 CEST
Sunday, August 10th
- 9:00 – 13:00 PT / 18:00 – 23:00 CEST
