NOVEMBER 26 PART 1

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Has Highest Pre-Sales in the History of the Series

Nintendo has announced via Twitter that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate now holds the record for highest pre-sales in the history of the series. The fifth entry in the crossover fighting game series is set to launch with all characters that appeared in any of the previous games plus all-new additions, bolstering the launch roster to 74 fighters. That’s definitely helped to build hype around the game and reel in pre-orders. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is set to launch on December 7th.


Second Episode of Heroine Anthem Zero Gets a Release Date

Winking Skywalker and WindThunder’s Heroine Anthem Zero Episode 2: Scars of Memories has a release date which is on December 12. When this game launches, a free demo will also be available. This second installment for the 2D side-scroller will be bringing back some characters that are the favorite of the fans and they will be having a more in-depth development in the game. Also, this a standalone entry which means you don’t have to play the first episode but an Easter Egg is available for those who did.


Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Showcases Battle System

Bandai Namco has just released new screenshots for the upcoming Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. The screenshots focus on the game’s battle system which is more in line with classic Tales games compared to the reworked battle system featured in modern titles like Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Berseria. The Definitive Edition is a remaster of the 2008 title that only released on the Xbox 360 in the west. The remaster will also feature content previously exclusive to the Japanese version.


She and the Light Bearer Demo Announced

The upcoming point-and-click title called She and the Light Bearer by Mojiken Studio has a demo coming out. The demo is available on Steam for download and the game is set to launch by the first quarter of next year. It will be available for PC, Mac, and Linux. The game features some hand-drawn art as well as some poetry in its dialogue. Centering around a Firefly that is looking for The Mother in a forest. There will be puzzles and riddles to solve in order to progress and the Devourer to learn about.


All-New Black Desert Online Content to be Revealed at Festa Event

Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games has announced that a community event called Black Desert Festa will be held on December 1st at the SETEC convention center in Seoul, South Korea. Western players can join in via a live stream with the keynote portion of the even subtitled in English. Details about the long-awaited Archer Class will be announced during the event. The game recently reached the ten million registered users milestone and is currently rewarding players with 1,000% bonus EXP.


Golf Management Game Resort Boss: Golf Heads to Steam Early Access

Publisher Excalibur Games and Developer Gus Martin announce Resort Boss: Golf, a golf/resort management game formerly known as Boss Golf, will launch on Steam Early Access on February 7, 2019. The game lets players build their own golf course from the ground-up, starting from a one-hole course to a 5-star resort. It also allows players to host tournaments, manage staff, and more. The team promises to bring “a wealth of updates” to the game and is inviting everyone to Wishlist it on Steam.


Actress Stefanie Joosten Joins Spacelords as Playable Character Sooma

Spacelords, the game that was formerly known as Raiders of the Broken Planet will be getting a collaboration with actress and model Stefanie Joosten. Joosten previously played the role of the character Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V. This time she will be lending her voice and image as the character Sooma who is a member of the faction Umbra Wardogs. Sooma is from the Cydonia region and is a part of a cult that helps others. She joins the expedition to the Broken Planet as a rite of passage.


Crackdown 3 Won’t Feature Microtransactions and Loot Boxes

Microsoft’s Crackdown 3 will not have any microtransactions or loot boxes. This has been announced by Joseph Staten of Microsoft. He said that they are experimenting right now on what is fun for players. They did not want to go with microtransactions and they are not sold with the idea of loot crates. However, there will still be cool things to unlock and it will be rank based or based on the number of matches, it depends as they are still experimenting on it. Crackdown 3 is set to launch on February 15th.


Adventure Game Omno Reaches Past Its Kickstarter Goal

StudioInkyfox’s upcoming game called Omno announced that they were able to exceed their Kickstarter target of $32,000. Right now there are 2,189 people who backed up the game reaching $71,279. They plan to continue to ask for more funding to ensure that a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch version will become available. Omno has been in development for two years and is already about 60 percent complete. Get to play as the protagonist with a magical staff powering up forgotten relics by 2019.


Woodpunk Now on PC

Developer Meteorbyte Studios announces the release of its challenging roguelike shooter Woodpunk on PC! The game will also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Q1 of 2019. Woodpunk features a retro-pixel art style and lets players take on the role of medieval inventor Aquinas as he faces hordes of enemies. He has access to over 1400 procedurally generated weapons which he can use to also take on powerful bosses. It also features a fully destroyable environment that can alter gameplay.


Broly Joins Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Broly is coming to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as announced by Bandai Namco Entertainment. He is coming this winter before the launch of his movie entitled Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Players will be able to get their hands on this character as a part of the Extra Pack 4. He is so strong that his powers exceed that of Goku. The Extra Pack 4 will also come with a new stage called the Tournament of Power Arena plus two Zeh-Ohs. This new pack can be purchased separately or as part of the game’s Extra Pass.

Arc System Works Festival 2019 Announced

On November 24th, 2019 Arc Systems Works announced that they will host the Arc System Works Festival on August 14th, 2019 at the Pacifico venue in Yokohoma, Japan. Events will include live performances, game demos, tournaments, and more. Fans believe there will be new reveals considering at EVO 2018 it was said that the developer is working on Guilty War-related content. ASW also announced that Kill la Kill The Game is coming to Nintendo Switch, along with PS4 and PC.


Pathfinder: Kingmaker Gets Three Expansions

Role-playing game Pathfinder: Kingmaker launched last month, and developer Owlcat Games announced that three new expansions plus a new campaign will be arriving. The first of the three DLCs, called The Wildcards, is set to arrive December 6th. It adds a new playable class called Kineticists, new playable race called Tieflings, and a new companion. The second DLC, Varnhold’s Lot, will be the new campaign. the third DLC, Beneath The Stolen Lands, adds a new game mode, the rogue-like endless dungeon. The second and third DLCs don’t have release dates at this time.


Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 Shows Off Multiplayer and Skirmish Gameplay

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2’s pre-order beta is set to begin next month, and Focus Home Interactive gave players a peek at how multiplayer and skirmish modes will work. In a blog post, Focus said that the game will include both 1-versus-1 and 2-versus-2 ranked and unranked matches. There will also be skirmishes against the AI. Randomly-generated maps will be available for regular multiplayer and skirmishes, plus five capture points and different environmental effects. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 releases in January for PC.


Alien: Blackout Might Be the Next Alien Game

A gaming trademark filed by 20th Century Fox has been discovered, and it looks like it could be the next Alien game. The company filed a trademark for the title “Alien: Blackout” and this comes months after FoxNext Games announced that they are working on a new Alien game. The trademark was filed under “game software, computer game and video game software.” We’ll have to wait for further details, or until FoxNext or 20th Century Fox release official word about this.


Kill la Kill the game: IF Announces New Characters

Nintendo has announced their upcoming anime fighter called Kill la Kill: IF during the ArcRevo Japan 2018. The game is in development at A+ Games. Alongside with the announcement is the news that Ragyo Kiruin and Nui Harime will be added to the game’s roster. Right now the game is still in development and it is expected to launch sometime in 2019, and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Kill la Kill: IF comes from a popular game and manga series for a “button-mashing” game.


CD Projekt Red Wants Cyberpunk 2077 to be as Refined as Red Dead 2

During a recent investor presentation, CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski was asked if they believe that Cyberpunk 2077 can score as high as Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. He answered that they are aiming for that, to be as “refined” as Red Dead Redemption 2 or any of the games that Rockstar is producing. He also added that gamers usually opt for “hit releases” and usually don’t choose other titles that do not catch their attention. That is why it “pays to be among the best”, said Kicinski.


Ring of Elysium’s European Servers are Finally Live

Finally! Ring of Elysium’s European servers are live. Before November 23rd, EU players played on NA servers, subjecting them to lag. In a Steam Post, Tencent announced receiving reports about EU servers having issues. Tencent assured players the server providers will fix them. Being an early access game, yet having dominantly positive reviews on steam, shows Ring of Elysium is a game of promise. Its unique gameplay awards it the label “a smooth and fun experience”.


The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game Out Now on Steam

The Hunted Island, a Frog Detective Game is now available on Steam. It is about a detective frog trying to solve the mystery of the haunted sloth. It’s quite a bizarre premise for a game, however a lot of people seem to like it as the game’s rating on Steam is 97% positive so far. The game is short, as players can finish this in just more than an hour. Players must look for clues, interview subjects and meet strange characters. The game looks promising with its cool sounds and art style.


Star Citizen’s Free Week Now Underway

Star Citizen’s free play week is underway, and now is your chance to try out the game and all its 80-plus space ships, its planet Hurston, and its city Lorville! Batman: Arkham Collection Launches November 27th

Apparently, a new Batman: Arkham bundle called Batman: Arkham Collection will be arriving on November 27th. This will include Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City as well as the Batman: Arkham Knight all fully remastered with possible 4K and HDR support. Actually, there is no official announcement about this from Warner Bros. or Rocksteady. Also, the report did not give any information about the platforms it will be available on so we are not 100 percent sure if this will really happen.


Cyberpunk 2077 Features Tall, Explorable Buildings with Tons of Activities

Explorable huge buildings will be available in Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red made the announcement via Facebook, however, the exact size was not revealed. They did say that there will be more than one tall building in Night City and all these buildings will be explorable and it will also have some activities in it. This will make Cyberpunk 2077’s world much more huge as the exploration has been extended to upwards as well as downwards. Cyberpunk 2077 will be launching in 2019.
