Several Xbox games are shutting down servers this June. See which ones are ending and which will continue on Xbox Series X|S.

These Xbox Games Are Going Offline in June 2025
This month, five Xbox games, possibly six, are scheduled to shut down their servers. One of them, Stampede Racing Royale, doesn’t yet have a confirmed shutdown date but it was announced in March that its servers would go offline within three months. That makes a June closure very likely.
Here’s the full list of games losing online support this month:
- XDefiant – June 3, 2025
- The First Descendant (Xbox One version only) – June 19, 2025
- Black Desert (Xbox One version only) – June 26, 2025
- Resident Evil Re:Verse – June 29, 2025
- Madden NFL 21 – June 30, 2025
- Stampede: Racing Royale – June TBD, 2025
One of the more disappointing shutdowns is XDefiant which officially goes offline tomorrow. The game had strong potential, and it’s a shame to see it go so soon.
There is some good news for fans of The First Descendant and Black Desert. While the Xbox One versions are being sunset, both games will continue to be available and supported on Xbox Series X|S.
As more games age out of service and studios focus on newer experiences, shutdowns like these will only become more common. For now, players still have a little time to log in, say their goodbyes, and make the most of these titles while they last.
