Update May 22 – Wave 2 games joining Xbox Game Pass for May have been announced. And from the looks of it, the long wait was worth it. Additional 10 games are on the list (2 of which are for June) including Tales of Kenzera: Zau, Monster Train 2, and Metaphor ReFantazio. The announcement initially included Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II for Standard tier but Microsoft eventually removed it. No further explanation was given as to why it is no longer part of the lineup.
Update May 7 – Microsoft has released the wave 1 titles for May. 11 games are part of the lineup, 4 of which are for today’s additions.
Update May 6 – While the official release of Revenge of the Savage Planet is on May 8th and is a day-one launch, Ultimate members can now play it with the Cosmic Hoarder Edition upgrade. This edition grants 3-day early access.
Original publication – Q1 of 2025 is done and what a quarter it was. From jaw-dropping triple-A releases to surprise indie hits, Xbox Game Pass delivered a spectacular lineup that might just go down as one of its strongest periods ever. With heavy-hitters like Oblivion Remastered, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Citizen Sleeper 2, and Atomfall, the bar has been set high.
But as we head into May, there’s good reason to believe Xbox isn’t done turning heads. If the early confirmations are any indication, May is going to make a run for it.
Xbox Game Pass May 2025 Joining Titles
The official Xbox Wire announcement for May’s Game Pass lineup hasn’t dropped yet but thanks to early April reveals and a handful of confirmed day-one launches, we already know of seven games hitting the service this month. And among them is one of the most anticipated titles of the year, DOOM The Dark Ages. Also part of the day-one launches is Spray Paint Simulator which is announced for this month but a specific release date has not been confirmed yet.
These are the games scheduled to enter Xbox Game Pass for May 2025 which will be updated as soon as more titles are confirmed:
