Tunic is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, bringing its legendary fox adventure to a new console. No release date was announced yet.

Tunic’s journey isn’t over as it’s just getting a new chapter. After winning over players across multiple platforms since its 2022 debut, the beloved action‑adventure is officially headed to a new console. Nintendo fans who have upgraded will soon be able to experience the game again, Switch 2-style.

Tunic is Heading to Nintendo Switch 2

Publisher Finji has officially announced that Tunic is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Originally released in 2022, Tunic is one of the best games to come out in that year. And after winning hearts across different platforms, it’s headed to Nintendo’s current-gen console.

For Nintendo users who were able to upgrade to Switch 2, this is an exciting addition to the library, and for preservationists it’s good to see that the game has secured its foreseeable future. Well at least on Nintendo. While no specific release date has been revealed yet, Finji says the port is actively in development.

Tunic is currently on PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It is also available on all tiers of Xbox Game Pass. Yes, including the Essential tier. As for PS Plus, it was featured as an Essential title last year but has not made a reappearance since then.

Tunic is an isometric action-adventure about a small fox on a journey through a mysterious world filled with forgotten legends, ancient powers, and monsters. Stranded in a ruined land, players will explore forests, ruins, and labyrinthine dungeons while uncovering secrets, collecting powerful items, and piecing together the game’s Instruction Manual, page by page, revealing maps, tips, and hidden techniques along the way.

Gameplay in the game owes a clear nod to classic action‑adventure titles like The Legend of Zelda, mixing swordplay, exploration, and puzzle solving into a loop. Players will slash, shield, and strategize their way, all while uncovering tools and abilities that open up new paths and challenges.
