A Private GDC 2026 Showing for The Last Night

It turns out one of the most anticipated indies of the last decade isn’t vaporware after all. According to a recent post on X by creator Tim Soret, The Last Night is officially making an appearance at GDC 2026 in San Francisco.

Don’t expect a public gameplay drop this week, though. Soret confirmed he is hosting strictly private, behind-closed-doors presentations. He is actively seeking out developers, platforms, investors, and even film producers to help push the project across the finish line.

In his own words, Soret believes the team at Odd Tales has built “something special“—claiming that as a player himself, he has never seen anything quite like it. While we don’t have a premium retail price or release window yet, just knowing the code is compiling is a massive relief.
