Nintendo Switch 2 is the new generation of hybrid consoles from Nintendo. Designed as a true evolution of the formula introduced with the first Switch on 3rd March 2017. With an official announcement for Switch 2 on 16th January 2025.
A short trailer showed us the new console’s features, with the promise of an official presentation in the spring of 2025. Certainly one of the most discussed and awaited consoles in recent years, with numerous leaks, rumors, and fans hoping for a more powerful console with modern features.
Nintendo Direct – Official Date and Time Confirmation
The famous trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement has already reached over 20 million views in less than a month. A trailer that left us with the confirmation of the next Nintendo Direct dedicated to Switch 2 on 2 April 2025.
An additional confirmation has just been released, precisely indicating the time of the Direct. Disproving rumors of a potential Nintendo Direct this month, confirming what insider NateTheHate predicted. So, the appointment is on 2 April 2025, at 6:00 AM PST / 15:00 CET.

Nintendo Direct 2025: The First Direct of the Year Dedicated to Switch 2
This will be the first Nintendo Direct of 2025. The last Direct was on 11th Novembe 2024, for the SUPER NINTENDO WORLD showcase. As for video games related, the last one was on 27th August 2024, along with the Indie World Showcase.
A Direct entirely dedicated to the successor of Nintendo Switch. With a video that will likely present the official specifications of Switch 2, along with new features and its gaming potential. We will probably also get confirmation on availability and launch lineup games, including the new Mario Kart as seen in the official trailer.

Nintendo further confirms the official presentation date for Switch 2 on 2nd April 2025. A must-see event that will attract millions to watch the new Nintendo console.
