Steam Next Fest is Valve’s famous event with multiple editions a year. A fantastic opportunity for many developers and publishers to bring new news about their projects, including showcases and updates. But it’s especially dedicated to playable Demos during the event. It often offers the first public chance for many indie studios to receive important feedback.
But it’s also a chance for many gamers to try out some of the most anticipated titles of the year or the year to come. With the first 2 editions of 2025, in February and June, which delivered tons of surprises. Thanks to titles like Jump Space, Tiny Bookshop, Date Everything, Tempest Rising, and many others.
Steam Next Fest 2025: The October edition starts Today
With October comes the long-awaited final Edition of the 2025 Steam Next Fest. A festival mainly dedicated to indie dev studios or small publishers to showcase their projects. The event will officially kick off Today, on:
- From October 13th to 20th, 2025, starting and ending at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET/ 19:00 CEST
With over 3000 demos already registered for the event. It’s also the last chance for many small studios to present their games and attract fans before the end of 2025. This is ahead of the 2025 wrap-up with the anticipated The Game Awards, which are mainly focused on the world of AAA games.

Steam Next Fest October 2025: 5 of the Most Interesting Demos
Just in the last few weeks, some development teams and small studios have already confirmed their participation in Valve’s event. Confirming Playable Demos for some of the most interesting titles not just for 2025 but for next year too, some of which are already available. Among these, we have, for example:
Starsand Island
The debut title from the Seed Lab team, offering a relaxing Life Sim-style adventure. A game in development since 2023, revealed in early 2025 with a successful Kickstarter campaign. Offering the first public online Demo ahead of its launch on February 1st, 2026, as revealed at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 in September!
REANIMAL
Certainly one of the most anticipated horror-themed games for 2026. With the grand return of Tarsier Studio, the original team behind the Little Nightmares series, published by THQ Nordic. Offering a true spiritual successor to the series, with puzzles, platforming, and terror playable from today!
‘83
‘83 is the debut multiplayer first-person shooter from Blue Dot Games. The dev team from the United Kingdom brings an experience set in the midst of the Cold War in an alternate timeline. Bringing the conflict to Europe with a 40v40 FPS, and a Demo that’s already playable!
Cloudheim
The 4-player co-op action and crafting experience from the team at Noodle Cat Games. Taking us to a fantasy world inspired by Norse mythology, where Ragnarok has devastated the world. And together with our friends, we must awaken the ancient gods and defeat the corruption. With a Demo already playable!
Valorborn
From the team behind Land of the Vikings comes a new medieval experience. This time offering a true isometric sandbox-style RPG. Exploring a vast world and with a robust character customization system. With an immersive experience where we decide our own destiny, with a Demo already playable!
