Create Your Own Space Style: Starfield & ESA’s Cosmic Fashion Challenge
In a somewhat surprising but awesome collaboration, Xbox, Starfield, and the European Space Agency (ESA) have come together to offer a unique opportunity to design your own space suit and define how space is explored in the future.
Xbox, Starfield, and the ESA challenge you to design a spacesuit for space exploration, with the winner receiving the very spacesuit they imagined fabricated, complete with an authentic ESA patch, and sent to them. There’s also an Xbox Series X|S, Starfield Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller and Headset for the selected winner.
Contest Guidelines and How to Enter
To enter this once-in-a-lifetime competition, you’re encouraged to download a template and use it to show off your creativity and design skills. You must show the full body, including the front and back, and describe what materials and colors your spacesuit will feature.
The rules also say you cannot feature any weapons in the design and must only have scientific and exploration tools. You’re heading into space to discover, after all, not go to war.
Your design must be sent as a PDF, JPEG, PNG, or PPT file, must not exceed 10MB, and must be sent in by 8 PM PT on February 24, 2024. that gives you just a few weeks to refine and submit your spacesuit design.
Starfield: A New Gaming Universe
Starfield was released last September as Bethesda’s first new universe in over two decades. Since its release, it’s caught the image of gamers and space agencies of what humankind is capable of and how far we can push exploration in deep space.
This competition from Xbox and the ESA is a great way to bring a tiny piece of your gaming experience into the real world. By designing your own spacesuit, you may not only get an excellent memorabilia piece that you can wear at Halloween and parties but also have a small influence on just how space is explored in the future.
