Path of Exile 2 Update 0.4 Still “On Track” for Early December, Hopefully Adds A New Class

Developer Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has confirmed that Path of Exile 2’s highly anticipated 0.4 content update remains firmly “on track” for an early December release, with fans hoping to see the long-promised Druid class.

The impending December Path of Exile 2 content update means the ongoing Rise of the Abyssal League will end when the patch drops in a few weeks, with characters migrating to the Standard or Hardcore Early Access league.

In a new community update on Steam, GGG says the developer is “still on track with our 4-month release schedule” with the 0.4 content update set for a major reveal in a livestream “very soon.”

The Long-Awaited Druid Class

Hype surrounding the upcoming 0.4 patch is higher than usual as fans expect Grinding Gear Games to include the highly anticipated Druid class, which was cut from the 0.3 content update in August to give the developer more time to fine-tune their animations.

It’s now expected that the new class will be in the upcoming patch along with quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and several changes to core systems.

Content update 0.4 is not likely to feature any changes to the endgame or include additional story parts, as there are still five additional classes, including the Druid, to be introduced to the roguelike ahead of its 1.0 launch in 2026.

Update 0.4.0 is a crucial milestone for GGG as they continue refining and introducing new content, mechanics, and systems to the game during its extended Early Access period.
