About a year after the launch of Pacific Drive, the Ironwood Studios team is finally excited to bring fantastic news. After 1 year and 3 major updates, Pacific Drive has finally reached the major milestone of over 1 Million copies sold.

An important achievement for the studio, which received strong fan support throughout 2024. Players appreciated the blend of mystery and story intertwined with the survival driving mechanics.

Pacific Drive: Development story and a journey that continues

A fantastic achievement for the small Ironwood Studios team. A Seattle-based studio founded in 2019 by veterans of the video game industry, led by Cassandra (Alex) Dracott. The idea came from a trip along the Olympic Peninsula, as she describes in the 2022 Game Developer interview. A solo trip where your car is the only companion.

Recreating that sense of loneliness in Pacific Drive. The game was first presented on February 13, 2022, during State of Play. The gameplay was revealed the following year after the delay, and in August, the release date for February 22, 2024, was announced at the PC Gaming Show. The next update is coming soon.
