The Nacon Connect definitely surprised us with plenty of exciting announcements from the well-known publisher, but we also got news about games from other publishers, including The Occultist, the horror adventure from DALOAR that now has a new release window.

The Occultist is a first-person horror adventure from the DALOAR team. Built on Unreal Engine 5 and the debut title from the Spanish studio. Promising a thrilling adventure in the shoes of paranormal investigator Alan Rebels.
The game features modern graphics thanks to UE 5 and a high-quality soundtrack. Originally scheduled for release in 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The Occultist: Trailer and New Release Window from Nacon Connect 2025
On March 6, 2025, we attended Nacon Connect 2025. The publisher’s event where many titles and sequels were announced. Among the participants, we also had the DALOAR team and the publisher Daedalic Entertainment. They presented the trailer for The Occultist.
This was our first look at DALOAR’s horror adventure. First introduced in August 2024 and originally planned for launch in 2025. The trailer showed us some gameplay footage, featuring the thrilling adventure of protagonist Alan Rebels. The release window has now been updated to 2026.

The Occultist: What We Know About the Game’s Story and Gameplay
The game promises a thrilling first-person adventure in the shoes of a paranormal investigator. Visiting GodStone Island after the mysterious disappearance of his father. The island was once inhabited by a cruel and mysterious cult, and Alan Rebels is on a quest to find his father using his powers. Offering:
- First-Person Horror Adventure: As Alan Rebels, you’ll face a thrilling adventure on the mysterious Godstone Island.
- The Mystic Pendulum: Alan’s most important tool, which, with its 5 mechanics, will allow you to interact and remove obstacles.
- Puzzles and Stealth: Alan is no fighter, and he’ll need to move and avoid dangers if he wants to survive. There will also be puzzles, including occult-themed ones.
Built on UE5 with the promise of visual fidelity that will deliver an even scarier adventure. All accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Pepe Herrero.
In Conclusion
The news of the game’s delay certainly disappointed some. But with the recent trailer, the DALOAR team has certainly captured the attention of many more players.
