Massive Black Ops 7 leak reveals new modes, wingsuits, and gameplay images hinting at a bold, futuristic take on the iconic Call of Duty series.
One of the biggest surprises from this month’s Xbox Games Showcase was the official reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Though details were scarce at the time, we did learn that the game picks up after the events of Black Ops 2 and is set in the year 2035. With that futuristic setting, fans immediately began speculating (and hoping) for the return of jetpacks.
But those hopes were quickly dashed. Developers have confirmed that jetpacks are not part of the game. However, new leaks reveal that Black Ops 7 won’t be grounded entirely because wingsuits are officially in.
Black Ops 7 Leaks New Modes And Gameplay Screenshots
A massive Black Ops 7 leak made headlines today, first reported by CharlieIntel, revealing new details about the game’s multiplayer and upcoming content. According to the report, a developer-only playtest was scheduled to take place this weekend but a mistake in messaging changed things a bit.
Instead of sending out internal details just to playtesters, a multiplayer Message of the Day was accidentally pushed live to the Call of Duty app. The message revealed two previously unannounced multiplayer modes:
- Overload – A 6v6 mode where teams fight over control of a neutral EMP device, which must then be delivered to the enemy headquarters to score. Think fast-paced objective play with high-stakes delivery.
- Skirmish – A 20v20 large-scale mode that appears to introduce bigger battlefields to the Black Ops experience. Most notably, the mode’s description confirms the presence of wingsuits.

Accompanying the leak were two gameplay screenshots. One shows two operators in combat-ready poses, while the other teases what looks to be a robotic dog, further emphasizing the game’s futuristic setting and likely AI elements on the battlefield.
At the time of writing, Activision has not issued an official statement regarding the leak. Still, the accidental release has already excited fans and if the internal playtest goes well this weekend, hopefully a public demo won’t be that far off.
