Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (DS2) is the new second chapter in the series from Kojima Production. The famous development studio, led by Hideo Kojima. Founded in 2015 as an independent studio. They debuted in 2019 with the first DS, an action-adventure set in a post-apocalyptic America starring the courier Sam Bridge.

Kojima Production: “Beyond The Strand” Announced
About 2 months after the launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hideo Kojima is announcing a big surprise. On 01 September, he officially unveiled “Beyond The Strand.” A special event celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the founding of Kojima Production as an independent studio.
A special event will be held on Saturday, 13 September 2025, in Japan. At the TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills SCREEN7 in the Minato district of Tokyo. It will be a live event celebrating the team’s major anniversary, featuring special guests and, most importantly, a look at upcoming projects.
Kojima productions will host a special 10th Anniversary event on Tuesday, September 23 in Tokyo.

Beyond The Strand: How to Watch the Event and What to Expect
The special Kojima Production event will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Specifically, it kicks off at 1:00 PM JST. That’s 13 September at 9:00 pm PDT and 12:00 am EDT / 6:00 am CEST on 14 September. A Livestream has been confirmed, with details coming soon, but it will likely be on the team’s YouTube channel:
As for the event itself, what’s been confirmed so far is that it will feature many live special guests. And as the name confirms, it will offer a glimpse into future projects. Of which we know are the action-espionage game Physint from Sony. And the horror title OD by Microsoft, with development having recently resumed.
