Recent buzz surrounding Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet seems to stem from speculation by Colin Moriarty, who hoped the game would launch next year. However, after fans demanded answers, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier spoke up in a Reddit post, assuring fans that “intergalactic is not coming in 2026.”
Schreier’s strong correction suggests that Naughgty Dog requires more development time than fans had hoped, pushing the earliest realistic release window for The Heretic Prophet into 2027.
A Quiet Game Awards for Naughty Dog
Adding to the disappointment and backing up Schreier’s comments, fellow insider Jeff Grub corroborated the news, revealing Naughty Dog also does not plan to show the game at the upcoming The Game Awards 2025.
