GOG Levels Up Modding with Official One-Click Integration

GOG Launches One Click Mod
GOG has always stood by gamers. Whether it’s DRM-free downloads, classic game preservation, or fan-favorite re-releases, the platform has long earned the respect of the community. Now, they’re taking things to the next level with something the modding scene has always needed: one-click modding.
With this new system, GOG makes modding as simple as clicking “install.” Integrated directly into the GOG launcher, the One-Click Mod system lets players discover, download, and install mods with zero guesswork. No manual installs, no dragging files, and no config edits. You just need to own the game on the platform.
Currently, the GOG mod library has:
- Horn of the Abyss for Heroes of Might and Magic III
- Phobos for DOOM 3
- Unofficial Patch for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines
- Fallout: London – One-click Edition
- Enderal: Forgotten Stories
- The Chronicles Of Myrtana: Archolos
While for sure more mods will be integrated from now, a massive shoutout was given to the much-awaited fan remaster, Skyblivion. As per announcement, the mod will be released later this year and will immediately be available on GOG mods upon launch.
As far as security is concerned, all mods that are and will be available are tested by the GOG team. So although the update won’t be immediate, they will be safe for everyone to download.
Worth noting too as many have pointed out, the GOG mods are tied to GOG copies of the game . So if you want a specific mod for a Steam game you have, you’ll have to install it separately from Steam or the mod’s official site.
