Bloober Team’s psychological horror, The Medium, is being turned into a movie after Coin Operated acquired the rights. Gary Dauberman will produce the film, having previously worked on the 2025 movie adaptation of Until Dawn.
Dauberman will look to bring his experience gained from his work on other horror films, such as Annabelle, Stephen King’s IT, The Nun, and Sony’s Until Dawn movie adaptation, to bring The Medium to life on the big screen.
Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno has described Dauberman as “the perfect partner” as the two parties move forward with the project. The movie is still looking for a writer and director.

The Medium is a 2021 psychological horror game by Bloober Team. The game earned critical acclaim at launch for its unique and patented dual-reality gameplay, which sees players explore and solve puzzles in two realities simultaneously.
Inspired by the paintings of Zdzisław Beksiński, the game delves into a mature and morally complex story. Every new discovery changes the narrative, asking further questions about the protagonist’s past and choices.
