Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Announces Its First Major Expansion, Sanctuary of Sarras
Developer Questline has announced that the first significant expansion for its open-world dark fantasy, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, will launch very soon, as Sanctuary of Sarras comes to PC and consoles on December 15, 2025.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon launched earlier this year, and now its first expansion, Sanctuary of Sarras, will release on December 15, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Questline is calling it “a new, fresh adventure” that offers new bosses, weapons, and dungeons in a realm “shaped by the deep sea.”
Sanctuary of Sarras: The New Deep Sea Region
The Sanctuary of Sarras expansion is described as a “titular” realm, where “ancient structures rise from the ever-shifting currents, and forgotten paths pulse with the life of a submerged world.”
Questline says the DLC will add 10-15 hours of gameplay to Tainted Grail, and introduce “four new epic bosses, 12 unique regular enemies, more than 20 hand-crafted dungeons & interiors, and over 100 equipment pieces,” including melee weapons, bows, rings, amulets, and spells.
Tainted Grail Gets A New Alternate Progression
Sanctuary of Sarras will also include “an alternate progression system,” where players activate sacred shrines to gain special skill points for three new “distinct” trees.
Each of the three new skill trees can be activated at any moment, allowing players to switch up their playstyle and adapt to different situations instantly.
Launch Date and How to Access the DLC
Fans don’t have to wait too long to jump into Sanctuary of Sarras, as the expansion launches for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon on December 15, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The expansion will cost $15, and players don’t need to have completed the game to enter the new zone. Instead, the zone will unlock for those who have reached Act 2 (Cuanacht).
