Harold Halibut is a narrative adventure game made with a unique claymation art style. You will play as Harold, a lab assistant for the lead-scientist on a giant spaceship that crash-landed in an alien ocean 250 years ago. As you explore the ship, you will make friends and contemplate the meaning of home. Unlike many of the residents who have settled into their underwater life, Harold is curious about the world outside the ship.

This eye-catching game has constantly garnered many praises since its announcement in 2017. It took a long time, a pandemic, and a lot of delays for the game to reach the finish line. But now we are here and we can finally get our hands on Harold Halibut!

Harold Halibut was released on April 16, 2024 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. And as part of its launch, the game is at 15% discount on Steam until April 24, 2024.




Harold Halibut was first made available during Steam Next Fest with the free demo of the game. Although free demos are always great to have, the file size was a shock as it was already at 52GB. So you can just imagine the full game.

If you have an active Game Pass subscription, you can start playing Harold Halibut for free starting April 16, 2024. It is available for Game Pass PC, Console, and Xbox Cloud Gaming subscribers.

Harold Halibut is one of the day-one launches for Game Pass April 2024. It was initially the only game joining Game Pass today but turns out, game pass subscribers will also get a free upgrade of Grounded with its 1.4 final major update, Fully Yoked Edition, today.

On top of that, three games were added to EA play today under the radar. No announcement, no press, nothing. The three games are Populous The Beginning, Sid Meir’s Alpha Centuri, and Sim City 3000 Unlimited. EA Play is one of the inclusions on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

As for games leaving the service at the end of the month, wave 2 has not been announced as of writing.
