Based on the iconic Les Fourmis trilogy by French writer Bernard Werber, Tower Five’s upcoming RTS, Empire of the Ants, has a visually impressive UE5 trailer, which dropped during the recent Game Developers Conference (GDC).
Empire of the Ants features cutting-edge photo-realistic visuals, which are shown beautifully int he latest trailer. Taking advantage of Epic’s technology, the game throws you into the middle of a busy ant colony as 103,683rd, an ant who must protect the colony at all costs.
Guided through significant moments in the books, you’ll be able to explore, fight, and expand your colony through the forest, forming alliances and hunting down enemies through photo-realistic environments while adapting to the day/night cycle and changing of the seasons.
The Empire of the Ants UE5 trailer is definitely impressive and developing in Epic’s engine definitely seems to be the correct choice as you really get a sense of just how magnificent the forest and how insignificant you are as a single ant if it wasn’t for the colony.
Empire of the Ants will release sometime later this year, and you can keep an eye on when prices go live, and even set an alert for your preferred price on its store page.
