How Will The Stabby Update Change Combat?
The Stabby Update will overhaul the combat system by introducing the Thief, Robber, and Guard professions. This patch enables players to organize street patrols, orchestrate ambushes on merchant carts, and execute home invasions, fundamentally shifting the gameplay loop toward illicit activities and law enforcement.
Ashborne Games plans to completely revamp the dueling mechanics to make confrontations more dynamic. The update will also expand dynasty customization options.
Players will have the ability to rename characters and buildings. This patch aims to balance the economic focus of the initial launch with high-risk, high-reward criminal enterprises.

The Backstabby Update and Multiplayer Integration
Following the combat overhaul, Ashborne Games will release The Backstabby Update to integrate online functionality. This major patch brings 12-player multiplayer to the medieval strategy game.
Players can form strategic alliances or initiate conflicts with competing dynasties. The update introduces cooperative and competitive victory conditions to structure the multiplayer experience.
Furthermore, this patch expands the city economy system. The new mechanics will allow players to manipulate local markets by deliberately withholding goods or flooding the market to satisfy community demands.
The Road to Version 1.0 Release
The final phase of the development roadmap culminates in the Version 1.0 release. This update will introduce the Moneylender and Trader professions, completing the economic ecosystem.
The Trader profession focuses on importing rare goods and exporting local products to distant markets. The Moneylender facilitates currency exchange and provides loans to competing dynasties.
Ashborne Games will also implement advanced guild mechanics and a new playable map. The full release will finalize the crime and punishment systems, adding new methods for gathering evidence against rival families.
