Bandai Namco released the official opening movie for Tekken 8, including the 3D fighting game’s first DLC fighter.
Tekken 8 is due to release on January 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and ahead of its launch, fans have been riled up into a frenzy with the game’s opening movie that previews the high-stakes battles to come in the epic ongoing war between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama.
The Tekken 8 opening video 2024 shows off some of the series’ enduring fighters, with the game set to include 32 fighters at launch, including Nina, Kazuya, Jin, Paul, King, Yoshimitsu, Kuma, Panda, and Reina.
Bandai Namco has been constant in highlighting Tekken 8’s new 4K visuals, 16 battle stages, and in-depth customization options that include HUD, characters, avatars, and even music.
The fan hype for the Tekken 8 opening movie did take a backseat somewhat, however, with the announcement of the first DLC fighter being fan favorite Eddy Gordo – who will join the Tekken 8 roster in the Spring of this year.
Three more fighters will join, one in Summer, one in Autumn, and one in Winter. We don’t know what those fighters are, but a reported leak that apparently happened on German PSN hinted at Xiao Meng, Roger the Kangaroo, and Armor King.
Whoever the fighters are, it won’t be long until we find out with Tekken 8, Bandai Namco’s next-gen fighter, releasing on January 26 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
