Stupid Nevers Dies Launch Date Set for October

GPTRACK50 has officially announced that Stupid Never Dies will launch for PC and PlayStation 5 on October 21, 2026. The game was initially revealed during last year’s The Game Awards and caught the attention of many not just because it involves zombies but also, who can forget a title like that.

The team behind the game is just as notable too. GPTRACK50 is an indie studio founded by former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi along with several veterans whose previous work includes Resident Evil 6, Devil May Cry, and Dragon’s Dogma. Stupid Never Dies marks the studio’s first title.

While preorders have yet to go live, and it’s currently unclear whether the game will be available for preorder at all, GPTRACK50 has already shared the available editions and pricing.

Stupid Never Dies will be available in a Standard Edition containing just the base game for $49.99, as well as a Glorious Idiot Edition priced at $59.99. The Glorious Idiot Edition includes the base game along with the TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack DLC, which will also be available to purchase separately for $15.

The DLC adds five cosmetic TickTock Teddies for Davy which are companions that don’t affect gameplay but each comes with its own unique animations and background music, giving players a few extra ways to personalize their adventure.

There’s one more piece of good news, especially for PlayStation players who still enjoy collecting physical games. GPTRACK50 has confirmed that Stupid Never Dies will receive a physical Standard Edition release on PlayStation 5.

Stupid Nevers Dies is a stylish humor-infused action RPG that follows Davy, the world’s weakest zombie, on a quest into a dangerous dungeon to defeat the King of Monsters and resurrect the frozen college girl he loves. Featuring fast-paced growth mechanics, gameplay revolves around devouring elite monster cores to temporarily transform into 11 distinct fighting styles like Werewolves or Vampires, while customizing Davy’s stats and skills by swapping his body parts with sci-fi Overtech gear.

Between combining absurd character builds, unleashing reality-warping Davy Bursts, and facing off against tech-enhanced fantasy beasts, the game delivers an addictive mix of rogue-lite progression, tactical combat, and quirky storytelling.
