DOES SKULL AND BONES HAVE A STORY?
Skull and Bones is an upcoming open-world action-adventure game about piracy and naval warfare.
Skull and Bones has story elements, but game director Ryan Barnard has said the game is “not a narrative-driven game” in a recent interview with True Achievements.
Although the world is filled with lore, and you will discover more stories as you accept and complete contracts, you’re pretty much left to create your own story.
Barnard explains that the Infamy progression system drives you forward rather than a particular narrative.
As you sail the seas and grow your legend, you will unlock blueprints to ships, weapons, and armors.
So, although Skull and Bones has no narrative-driven campaign, Ubisoft does expect you to create a story and develop as a pirate.

Skull and Bones releases on November 8 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
