The highly rated 1897 Irish supernatural mystery The Séance of Blake Manor is now available on consoles and as a day-one Xbox Game Pass release.

Xbox Game Pass has added a highly rated supernatural mystery to its catalog, putting players in the shoes of a private investigator in 1897 Ireland. The Séance of Blake Manor launches day-one on the service today alongside its console debut. If you want a spooky narrative adventure centered around deductions, interrogations, and time management, this one is a worthy pick.

What is The Seance of Blake Manor About?

The Séance of Blake Manor takes players to a remote hotel in Connemara where Private Investigator Declan Ward arrives to search for a missing woman named Evelyn Deane. Instead of a cooperative staff, he finds a gathering of global mystics preparing for a Grand Séance to communicate with the dead.

You spend your time interviewing suspects, exploring the corridors of the manor, and recording clues in your journal. The mechanics rely heavily on time management as every action you take moves the clock forward. The characters operate on their own independent schedules so you have to be in the right place at the right time to gather evidence and confront the guests about their motives.

The Seance of Blake Manor Is Now Available on Xbox Game Pass

The Séance of Blake Manor arrives on Xbox Game Pass on October 27, 2026 as one of the service’s day-one releases for October. Originally released on PC on October 27, 2025, the game now makes its way to consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Its console launch comes exactly one year after its initial PC release.

The game has received strong praise for its depiction of rural Ireland in the late 19th century, with its Halloween setting providing a natural fit for the season. Its distinctive comic-book art style, atmospheric environments, and blend of Irish mythology with Victorian spiritualism help set it apart from other detective adventures. Players have also highlighted its well-written story and characters, alongside investigation mechanics that reward observation and careful deduction.

Those planning to investigate every corner of Blake Manor can expect a reasonably substantial adventure. The main story takes around 20 hours to complete while completionists can spend over 25 hours.
