Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure is a game in development by Miniteam in collaboration with HandyGames. It’s an interesting hybrid that combines real-time strategy and automation genres. Initially announced in August 2023 with the first teaser.
And it finally saw its Early Access launch on April 24, 2024, receiving strong positive feedback as players explored a procedurally generated world alongside the charming Sparks. Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure – 1.0 Version Launch Announced
Following the roadmap revealed in February, Miniteam is finally ready for the official launch of Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure. The RTS and automation mix will officially leave Early Access on May 27, 2025. The 1.0 version launch also coincides with the game’s arrival on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The announcement comes with an official trailer showcasing the magical fantasy world of Oddsparks. With strong crafting and base management elements in an automation style. Plus, a real-time strategic approach where you’ll guide the cute Sparks against various threats and enemies. The game is also playable in co-op with up to 4 players.
Oddsparks: New Features Coming with Version 1.0
The development team shares with us the new features we’ll enjoy with version 1.0, following the August 2024 updates like Trains & Trades and Hot & Cold in December. With the official launch, we’ll get:
- New Biome: The Corrupted Ruins, a northern swamp inhabited by slimes and golems.
- Story Ending: The long-awaited final chapter revealing the mystery of the Sparks and a journey spanning over a millennium.
- Base Defense and Automation Challenge: New enemies will attack your base, disabling buildings. But there will be new additions like towers, cannons, and dedicated Sparks. The Automation Challenge offers a challenge to test everything we’ve learned so far.
- QoL and Customizations: A lot of new QoL improvements, along with various settings for World Settings to create the ideal game.
- Steam Workshop Support: Official support for community mods to let your imagination run wild.
One thing to note is that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions won’t have multiplayer access. Due to issues during implementation, the team decided to offer only single-player mode on consoles. However, they will soon share future plans and updates.
