In a surprise announcement on 28 May 2025, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja revealed the new milestone reached by Nioh. The series has sold over 8 Million copies worldwide.
An amazing milestone celebrated by the team after 8 years from the first game and 5 years from the second. The series originally launched as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in February 2017 and came to PC in November. Nioh 2 released on PS4 in 2020 and then on PS5 and PC in 2021.
