Metaphor ReFantazio is a fantasy JRPG from the creators of Persona 3, 4, and 5. Set in a kingdom thrown into uncertainty, the story follows a young protagonist competing in a royal tournament to claim the throne. Along the way, you’ll explore towns and dungeons, build relationships, develop personal virtues, and unlock powerful Archetypes that determine your abilities in battle. The game combines turn-based combat with real-time action, alongside a time management system that makes each day count as you work toward your goal.
Metaphor ReFantazio initially released on October 11, 2024, for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on Nintendo Switch 2 starting November 12, 2026. While the game is no longer part of Game Pass, a five-hour trial is still available for PS Plus Premium members.
