With the recent launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, many were eager to unlock and use the new Kicks cosmetics. But Epic has announced the temporary delay of the Fortnite Kicks.

With the new Chapter 2 Remix, Fortnite is bringing back the gameplay and music of Chapter 2. Featuring the return of Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Spice on Shark Island. The November update has brought back some of Fortnite’s classics as well as new additions.

Accompanied by the new Remix Pass, which includes many unlockable cosmetics and introduces the Kicks for the first time. These are Shoe Skins, celebrating with the most iconic shoes, namely the Nike Air Jordan 1, inspired by the 1985 Black Toe. Accompanied by original Kicks like the fun Shark Kick.


Epic Games Delays the Release of Air Jordan 1 Black Toe in Fortnite

With the new Chapter 2 Remix, many were looking forward to wearing the new Fortnite Kicks, particularly the AJ1 Black Toe Reimagined, the first shoes available through the Remix Pass. Unfortunately, the Fortnite team has announced a delay.

Specifically, the team announced that the AJ1 and Kicks will not be available in version 32.10, postponing their availability to the next update. Players will still be able to unlock the iconic Jordans from the pass but won’t be able to equip them due to an unspecified bug caused by the new Kicks.

This is certainly sad news for Fortnite fans, especially after the AJ1 was marketed as a feature of the new Update. It’s also compatible with over 500 Outfits and 95% of skins by spring 2025.

The Air Jordan 1 Black Toe Reimagined is available with the Remix Pass, starting from 12th November 2024. While they’re not yet usable, they’re still obtainable in time. Additionally, they may be purchased later from the Fortnite Item Shop. Epic has not yet commented on when players will be able to equip the Kicks, but it’s very likely they’ll be available with the next update.
