Frostpunk 2 Beta Starts On April 15 – How To Join

Frostpunk 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Frostpunk, is set to release on July 25, 2024. And while it is still a few months away, some can play the game early (yes, earlier than the early access) this month with Frostpunk 2 closed beta!

Frostpunk 2 Beta Details

As previously announced, Frostpunk 2 beta access is exclusively for those who pre-ordered the game’s Deluxe Edition. The beta starts tomorrow, April 15, until 22 and unlocks at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 7pm CT. It will feature Utopia Builder Preview which is a part of the sandbox mode. So for those looking for more content, unfortunately no story missions on this one yet.

Although Frostpunk 2 will be available on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S too, the beta is only for PC.

Here are the system requirements for the Frostpunk 2 beta. Note that it was stated that these are applicable for the beta and may change upon the game’s full release.

Frostpunk 2 early access


Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition’s price may be a bit steep for many but it does pack serious perks that makes it worth it. Having to play it early with the Beta is one, but considering that it is not the whole game, it’s the 72 early access that is a game changer.

In the end, after 6 years of waiting since the first game launched, having to play it in full early, ahead of everyone else, is priceless!
