Fate/EXTRA Record: What We Know About the Remake and the Latest News

This news is certainly not surprising for TYPE-MOON fans. This is a Remake that promises to enhance the experience of the dungeon crawler RPG, notably by using a card-based gameplay system instead of the Rock-Paper-Scissors system of the original. It also expands the Dungeon layout, My Room, and includes some new scenes. All of this with the return of illustrator Arco Wada, who was behind the designs of the original and the EXTRA timeline.

She is also credited with the design of some of the most beloved Servants. With the likes of Nero Saber, Tamamo-no-Mae, BB and the Sakura Five, Elizabeth Bathory, and many others. Celebrating today, 23 July 2025, the new Wada Arco Exhibition Fate & Fate/EXTRA ART WORKS -flower parade is being held at Matsuya Ginza to celebrate the release of her first artbook, following the artist’s special panel last year at FGO FES 2024.

In Conclusion

This is sad news for Extra fans, who will have to wait at least another year, barring any further delays. It’s a very ambitious project for one of the most beloved TYPE-MOON Fate universes. Especially considering the chapter’s various Servants. Promising major improvement to the gameplay and overall gaming experience. So, what do you guys think? Let us know in the comments!
