Divinity Original Sin 2 Will Be Fully Voiced After All
Larian Studios has previously said it would be crazy to fully voice Divinity Original Sin 2, but now they’re saying it would be fully worth it.

This change comes just roughly 3 weeks before the game’s release.
In their 42nd Kickstarter update, the devs recounted how big they felt the follow up to their 2014 hit had become halfway through production. This meant that time and budget constraints would make it impossible to fully voice the game. They opted to try voicing a few lines just to “improve the soundscape”, but “it just didn’t feel right”.
Now, they’ve started working on giving voices to over a thousand NPCs and a million words. They’re also busy recording the game’s orchestral soundtrack.

Later this week, Larian Studios will be revealing details about the game’s Collector’s Edition so make sure to stay tuned for that.
Divinity Original Sin 2 will be launching on 14 September for PC. The game will also be coming to the Xbox One and PS4 at a later time.
