Dead Space Remake Release Date and Concept Preview Revealed

The Dead Space Remake is set to arrive early next year, and EA Motive shared a preview of its environment, character design, VFX, and lighting.

EA Motive has announced that the Dead Space Remake is going to be released on January 27, 2023. The remake was first announced in 2021, 4 years after its original developer Visceral Games closed, with EA Motive taking the reins as developer this time.

As we are still months away from release, the developers gave us a preview of how they worked on the game’s remake through their latest deep-dive.

EA Motive aims to deliver the original game’s look and feel, and they want to do this while using next-gen technology. The series of deep-dive videos showcased how they used the latest tools and techniques to refine the original Dead Space’s environment, lighting, character models, and visual effects.

The deep-dive videos include some before and after footage which compare the look and feel in the original game versus the remake. The footage they presented is not the final version yet, so we can expect this to change in the coming months.

We can also expect a full reveal of the Dead Space Remake this Halloween, and the developers are as excited as we are. “We can’t wait for old and new players to see how we’ve improved the original experience in the remake to make it just as impressive for this generation,” Senior Producer Phillippe Ducharme said.

Dead Space Remake will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
