VirtuaVerse is a cyberpunk-themed point and clicks adventure game developed by Theta Division, A powerful artificial intelligence proving its superiority has surpassed every other program like it and the governments who control those AI themselves, as a result, humanity has bent the knee and permanently integrated their reality to a single neural network that continuously tries to optimize peoples experience by processing their own data.

• Step into the shoes of Nathan an outsider who still hasn’t complied with the new system, he makes a living off-grid as a smuggler of modded and cracked software. One day his girlfriend a talented AVR graffiti artist Jay goes missing living only a cryptic message in the bathroom, with his headset broken he must find out what happened to her and how she is connected to a hacker group and a cabal of AVR Technomancers.
• VirtuaVerse is a point-and-click adventure in every sense of the word in order to progress the story you must find items, talk to NPCs, and solve riddles you will need patience and a bit of cunning if you want to solve the riddles without looking them up.
• Later on in the game, you will be able to fix your custom headset allowing you to see the city in a different view, maybe opening up new avenues and areas you haven’t visited before.
• The game’s story and music are developed by the heavy metal band “Boot record” while the pixel art was made by Valenberg.

If you’re an old-school point-and-click fan then you will adore VirtuaVerse. It has a good story, a great setting, and a solid challenge to its play. Some may struggle with parts, especially as screens are full of so much detail, but the writing and world-building are top-notch. It’s most definitely a game that will be enjoyed by those who love the genre, yet a newcomer might find it too overwhelming at times, and a little bit old-fashioned in others.
