About this game

Twelve Minutes is a time-loop interactive thriller that features James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Willem Dafoe.

You and your wife are at home for what is supposed to be a romantic evening that turns into tragedy. A police detective barges into your home and says that your wife is a murderer and beats you up until you die.

You then wake up 12 minutes earlier to experience the same thing! With the knowledge that you have gathered, what will you do to change the outcome to hopefully break the loop?

I could talk for ages about Twelve Minutes as I loved everything about it, but there’s not much that can be said without spoilers. The voice acting is fantastic and the gameplay is very enjoyable. It’s a fantastic title and the fact it comes straight to Game Pass is brilliant. I can’t recommend this enough.

Warren Spector, director of Deus Ex, has said that he would like to make a game focused entirely on one city block because the small space would allow for unmatched mechanical depth. 12 Minutes reduces Spector’s scope further, and finds a rich vein for interaction and storytelling. This game may limit its loop to 12 minutes, but I found myself wishing I could stay for much, much longer.
