Monster Hunter stories is a 3D fantasy JRPG that takes the world of Monster Hunter and puts it back into where it all started a remastered version of the first game in the series developed by CAPCOM Co., Ltd. No longer will you be just hunting monsters, but raising them also! Step into the shoes of heroes known as Monster Riders, living along side monsters and form lifelong bonds with them. Monster Hunter Stories is a new game in the Monster Hunter universe but this time instead of a hunter we are a rider and the game is an RPG. As a raider you have to raise, train and take care of the monsters so you can ride them and use them in classic turn combats. In this game, you can take the role of a rider (and not of a hunter as we’ve used to) who can befriend different creatures that are lurking around in the large open world. Also, this game brings focus to turn-based combat, which differs even more from other titles in the famous saga.
Monster Hunter Stories offers a different approach to the usual. The aim here is not to hunt and kill as many monsters as possible, although you do live alongside the Hunters as they deal with a plague. Instead, you take on the role of a Riders, or young heroes who raise monsters for a living. Turn-based combat is accessible, with no real difficulties, and you can also cooperate online. You can collect monsters, hatch them from eggs and develop them further.
