Forza Motorsport 4 is a racing automobile sim game developed by Turn 10 Studios the fourth iteration of the Forza Motorsport series that has heavy emphasis placed on making the cars drive and look as realistic as possible featuring 665 cars coming from 80 manufacturers, this sequel in particular features support for Microsoft’s Kinect motion-sensing peripheral.

• Career Mode features three official game modes:
  • World Tour: Complete a racing career divided into ten calendar years, each calendar year features a certain amount of race events in different tracks and ends with a championship.
  • Event List: Manually select which race event you want to compete in with any event listing.
  • Rivals: Compete against other players time by racing against their ghost cars encompassing various race types such as autocross, drift, drag, track days, and time trials. Every event has restrictions put on players car choices and leaderboards.
• Aside from Career mode players can also participate in more casual events such as Car Soccer, compare other players rankings on leaderboards and bid and sell your customized cars in the auction house.
• Sit down and relax in Free Play:
  • Quick Play: Select any vehicle and race track you want independent of their career mode progress.
  • Split Screen: Two players can play together in local couch split screen co-op.
  • Hot Lap: Freely race and lap around on any race track without other racers getting on the way after you finish a lap a ghost car of your previous lap will be shown.

Reviews

The way World Tour is laid out is done wonderfully and I hope other racing games learn from this structure and pacing. There?s no reason I shouldn?t be able to use my Delorian in every race, which is why I have multiples, one for each car class. Forza 4 may only have incremental updated features from Forza 3 but it?s still an amazing time to be had and the best simulation racing game to date. It still has that awesome new car smell.
