Xbox Game Pass July 2025: What’s New? Discover July’s additions to Game Pass and when to start playing for free!
Update July 21 – Descenders Next just shadow dropped on PC and Xbox, and lands straight to Xbox Game Pass. Like Grounded 2 which will launch later this month, Next is also an Early Access game and is available on Game Pass via the Game Preview program.
Update July 16 – Wave 2 for July has been announced and including yesterday’s entry, a total of eight games will be joining Game Pass for the rest of the month. It is packed with day-one launches so unfortunately for Standard members, there’s not much movement with the tier. In fact apart from Robocop Rogue City joining tomorrow, the next Standard addition will be on August 1 with Farming Simulator 25. But for PC and Ultimate members, the second half of July is an absolute treat. See the full schedule at the end of the article.
Update July 2 – The full official lineup for Xbox Game Pass in July 2025 has not been formally announced yet. But thanks to early launch reveals and June’s Wave 2 announcement where the first two July titles were already confirmed, we already know about seven games coming next month. And wow, Game Pass is still on an incredible streak.

And wow, Game Pass is still on an incredible streak.
Xbox Game Pass July 2025 Joining Titles
In just a couple of days, we’ll officially be crossing into the second half of the year. The first half of 2025 has been wild, stacked with incredible new releases, day-one launches, and surprise hits that made keeping up nearly impossible. And from what we know so far, July is keeping that same energy alive. Even without the full lineup revealed, Game Pass subscribers already have seven great reasons to stick around or join fresh.
Two of the first confirmed titles came via June’s Wave 2 announcement, Little Nightmares 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. The addition of the former is especially timely and exciting with Little Nightmares 3 officially set to launch this October. It’s a perfect chance to revisit or discover the franchise before the next installment arrives.
Beyond that, five day-one launches are already confirmed too. Easily the biggest highlight is the much-anticipated Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 finally coming on July 11. There’s also Grounded 2 which launches in early access at the end of the month.

This is just what’s been confirmed so far. Microsoft typically reveals the full wave in the first few days of the month, so more titles are definitely on the way. This list will be updated as soon as more games are officially announced.
