Where Winds Meet (WWM) is the highly anticipated open-world action RPG being developed by Everstone Studio and published by NetEase. This game plunges us into 9th-century China, specifically during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. It offers a free-to-play adventure with online components, but you can also play it solo.

Get ready for an epic Wuxia adventure where you’ll play as a young martial arts expert embarking on a journey to discover your origins. Where Winds Meet: Final Closed Beta Dates & Times

Following the May closed beta, the Everstone Studio and NetEase teams have announced the new Where Winds Meet Beta. This Wuxia-style open-world action RPG takes us to 9th-century China. They announced on June 30th that beta sign-ups for PC and PS5 would open from July 2nd to July 24th, 2025.

They also dropped a new cinematic trailer that takes us to Revelry Hall in Kaifeng, a city of splendor, power, and shadows you can explore in this final Closed Beta. It kicks off on:

  • Start: July 24, 7:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM ET and July 25, 4:00 AM CEST
  • End: July 31, 9:00 PM PT and August 1, 12:00 AM ET / 6:00 AM CEST

 

Where Winds Meet: What the Game Offers & Final Beta Details

So, WWM brings a free-to-play open-world experience set in 9th-century China during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. It’s a classic Wuxia adventure, starring heroes and martial arts masters. This adventure offers over 150 hours of gameplay that you can enjoy solo or in co-op with up to 4 friends. There’s also a guild system, multiplayer raids, and even PvP battles.

Plus, expect deep customization with various weapons, playstyles, and character options. You’ll explore 20 regions of a vibrant world. The team also shared more info about this Final Beta, especially the minimum laptop requirements: you’ll need a Ryzen 7 5800HS CPU and an Nvidia MX450 GPU (or equivalents).
