Star Wars Outlaws may have gotten off a rough start but with all the updates and fixes the past year, it looks like Nintendo got the better end of the deal as it launched last September to stellar reviews. Star Wars Outlaws Switch 2 Demo Available For Download
Star Wars Outlaws initially launched on August 30, 2024 for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. There were a lot of issues back then which Ubisoft was able to address over the past year. The game eventually made its way to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4, 2025, and the reception couldn’t be more different.
The game has impressed many, if not all, how well it played on Switch 2. So while this version came a year later, it looks like it was for the best. So much so that people are asking Ubisoft to port more games to the console.

And that day is today. The Star Wars Outlaws Switch 2 demo is now live on Nintendo eShop, offering up to 3 hours of free gameplay. Note that progress can’t be carried over to the full game.
During these three hours, you can hunt down a mercenary to join your crew as you speed across the planet’s lawless dunes, face off against the Hutt Cartel and other enemies, and take on lucrative contracts in the bustling streets of Mos Eisley. When you need a break from the action, sit down for a few hands of Kessel Sabacc before venturing beyond the city limits to uncover hidden stashes, secrets, and breathtaking desert vistas. You can even hop into your ship and test your dogfighting skills against enemy pilots.
In other Star Wars Outlaws-related news, its developer Massive Entertainment, has recently announced layoffs across its teams to focus on The Division franchise. Hopefully, this isn’t the end for Outlaws future updates.
