Rebellion Godsoul: Awakening (RGA) is the new anime card RPG from the team at U-Secret Studio. A small Hong Kong-based studio passionate about otaku culture and anime, mainly known for Mysteria ~Occult Shadows~ from 2020. With RGA in development since 2020, which saw a successful Kickstarter campaign in June 2024.

Rebellion Godsoul: Awakening – Now Available
The U-Secret Studio team has finally made Rebellion Godsoul: Awakening available. Their anime-style card RPG combines an experience inspired by Persona 5 and Chrono Ark. Initially planned for a January 2025 release, the game has been slightly delayed. Now available in Early Access on Steam since May 1, 2025.
The game is presented with the Official Trailer offering an RPG card adventure. A single-player journey that blends card battles with a Visual Novel-style narrative, all accompanied by a large cast of anime girls, each with her own story and personality to discover.
Rebellion Godsoul: Awakening – Gameplay and Key Features
RGA brings together inspirations from various genres. Set in the year 20X1, in the fictional Dream City, you’ll take on the role of a [Rebel] and encounter various Rebel Girls to face challenges and share a passion for Otaku culture. It offers:
- Gameplay: The game will mainly focus on a card-based experience, where you’ll deploy 3 [Godsoul] and 3 [Linker] characters in a team RPG style, activating skills with cards. The story is told in a Visual Novel format.
- Cast: The game features 4 main heroines: Kami, Lincy, Hoshimu, and MoonShadow, along with their avatars powered by [Godsoul]. There are over 40 imaginary [Linker] girls as well.
- Relationship System: With a Visual Novel-style story, you’ll get to explore different storylines with the 4 main heroines. Share a love for Otaku culture, and unlock upgrades and artwork through relationship systems with the [Linker].
U-Secret Studio reminds us that Early Access includes the main storyline, access to 3 heroines (Kami, Lincy, Hoshimu), about 30 [Linker] girls, and 100+ cards and CGs. The Early Access period is expected to last at least 6-12 months of development, with more news to come.
