PowerWash Simulator 2 finally has a playable Demo on Steam: Try the first two levels and discover what’s new!

PowerWash Simulator 2 (PWS 2) is the new chapter and sequel to the cleaning simulator experience from the team at FuturLab. A Brighton-based development team founded in 2003, known mainly for the first PWS. It debuted in 2021 in Early Access and was published by Square Enix, followed by a console debut in 2022/2023 with the official launch.

The team announced the sequel in March 2025, promising a new and fun cleaning simulation experience, packed with new additions and improvements, but notably as a self-published title. PowerWash Simulator 2: Demo Available Now

Following the latest news on PWS2, the FuturLab team, fresh from their return from Tokyo Game Show 2025, brings some big news. On 30 September 2025, they announced the availability of the PowerWash Simulator 2 Demo on Steam.

This gives fans at home a chance to try out the team’s ambitious new title, slated for a 2025 launch. We’ll once again return to the town of Muckingham and its surroundings to fight the grime. All this with a new cleaning arsenal and additional features, in the company of Ulysses the cat from the first game, as well as other cute animals.

 

PowerWash Simulator 2: What the Demo Offers and the Latest News

So, this gives you the chance to try PWS2 ahead of its launch, which for now is still scheduled for sometime in 2025. Specifically, we have a single-player PC Demo that lets us experience a small slice of the final game, offering:

  • Levels: Featuring the two levels Removals Van and Public Facility, plus the chance to explore our House / Base.
  • Tools: You can experiment with the starting washers, the Prime Vista 1500 and the Urban X U1, as well as the bubbly soap and the SwirlForce Floor Cleaner, which you’ll unlock as you play.
  • Extras: There will be some nice additions like unlockable furniture, but also our cute cat friend Ulysses, who will be waiting for us at home.

The team states they had wanted to reveal the PC Demo announcement along with the release date trailer. But they confirm that they haven’t yet reached the Gold Phase on all platforms. Which, we should remember, include PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and also Nintendo Switch 2. The NS2 version was announced during the Nintendo Direct on 12 September.

 

In Conclusion

A first Demo for PowerWash Simulator 2, at least for now, only on PC. It allows you to try out some of the new features and see how the new chapter performs.
